Split personality!

I'm not quite sure how I wound up as "Frances" and "Pilgrim" - I've never been two people before, although it could be useful with three churches to look after.

When I start my travels, perhaps I'll organise it that Pilgrim describes where we've been and Frances does the reflective stuff. I'm getting the hang of being 2 people already - note the "we"!

Nearly ready for the off!

It's only just over a week now until I cross the channel. I've managed to book most of my train tickets for the first part of my trip, although the UK agency couldn't book me on a train from Madrid to Santander in May - they said it didn't exist, even though it was on the Spanish Rail web-site. Think I'll wait till I get to Madrid on the outward journey and try out my Spanish. The (very) young man I was speakng to sounded quite taken aback when I told him my date of birth was 1952 - you'd have thought I'd said 1852! It reminds me of someone I worked with when I was 35 who once said to me "I hope I'm like you when I'm your age!" Wonder what she'd think of me 20 years on??

The challenge at the moment is to get everything I need into two very small cases. It's not the clothes that are the problem, it's the books and things like chargers for the phone and the camera!

Done it!

Trouble is, I'm not sure how!

Still struggling with technology

Pity I couldn't work out how to rotate the picture!!!

Worcester Cathedral

Have just come from the Maundy Thursday service which was inspiring. Probably the last time I'll be at my home cathedral before I set off on my travels!
