Aladdin's cave?

When we'd bought, or convinced them that we had no intention of buying, the carpets, we were escorted to the floor below to buy ornaments and jewellery. I bought a pretty necklace for 20 euros - you never pay the initial asking price, but when he started at 40 euros, I think the salesman was hoping for a less determined bargainer. They will take any currency, and jump from one to another in the hope of making a sale - or confusing the customers! When this salesman was asking simultaneously for 30 dollars and 25 euros, I think he confused himself! Having asked for the approximate equivalent of £15 in dollars, I wasn't going to give him more than that in euros!
