Random Ramblings of a Village Vicar
My name is Frances Wookey and I am Vicar of nine rural churches in South Worcestershire. I have lots of wonderful friends and colleagues in the villages which I care for, and lovely views of the Malvern Hills from my window. I am also very privileged to be an Honorary Canon of the beautiful Cathedral in Worcester.
I started this blog in 2008 when I spent 3 months travelling abroad on study leave. The name derived not only from the fact that I was visiting pilgrimage sites all over Europe, but also that we are all pilgrims on a journey, even if we never step outside our own front door. So, though I am now back home, I still consider myself to be a 21st century pilgrim. Just as when I was travelling, this is a record of my thoughts about things that I encounter on my journey - some serious, some not.
