Pilgrimage takes many forms

When I was on one of the organised trips in southern Spain, I met a super Christian couple who were involved with a project called Teen Challenge. I had heard of this, but had not been quite sure what it did, and had associated it with young people taking Christian gap years (which they can do with this group, but that's not its raison d'etre). The main purpose of the project is to help young adults who have got into real difficulties in their lives, especially through using drugs.

I couldn't find their web-site using the search on the mobile phone, but have now had a look. There are stories from some of the people they have helped, told in their own voices. They believe so much in what God has done for them, with the help of Teen Challenge, that they want to tell the world about it. The journeys of these young people are, in many senses, a pilgrimage - going through great difficulties, but finding God and salvation in the end.

I'm putting a link to the web-site in the column on the right. It looks as if it's still being constructed, but what's already there is really inspiring.
